Senior Squad

Description Senior Squad is for swimmers that wish to keep a base

fitness and compete in Gippsland and SGSA competitions.
Swimmers have the option of up to 3 sessions a week

as arranged with head coach to allow them to work around

studies and work commitments.

Age 14yrs+
Equipment ● Mesh swimming bag

● Pull Buoy

● Fins

● Kick Board

● Leg Band

● Drink bottle

● Hand Paddles

● Massage ball or tennis ball

● Goggles x 2

 

All swimmers must have their own training gear which

they bring to every session.

 

Training Requirements 1-3 swim sessions
Competition Requirements Competition Requirements:

● 3 GSI meet and Gippsland Championships
and/or

● 3 SGSA meets

Fitness Requirements To ensure swimmers are up to the required fitness

level and be able to add to the overall strength of the

squad, swimmers must be able to complete the following:

Aerobic

15 x 100m @ 1.40 FR

Kick

8 x 100m @ 2.15 MS Kick

Pull
8 x 200m @ 3.30 FR Pull
